
LUGAW
Lugaw is a Filipino dish traditionally thought of a soft food for sick people. But lugaw is enjoyed for breakfast, as a snack, and when you’re sick, even as a meal in itself. Some meat is added to the rice for nutritional value. Soup stock and ginger are favorite ingredients.
TOGUE & TOKWA
Lumpiang Togue – Large sized spring rolls filled with mixed vegetables, main ingredient is bean sprouts, usually served with vinegar. Just by looking there is no way to distinguish this one from Lumpiang Gulay. tofu, soy bean cake is a raw or scrambled Filipino dish made from salted soan - seeds of the plant used in soy sauce making. This Filipino food stemmed from the influence of the Chinese.
SILOG
Filipino breakfast is in a league of its own. "Silog" is a combination of two words sinangag, meaning garlic fried rice, and itlog, meaning egg. To serve something "silog" is to pair it with garlic fried rice and an egg.
